Type species: Paraguataia tellecheai Rusconi, 1948

Note: This name is from the Zoological Record for 1948; in Bassler (1953) it is spelled Paraquataia tellechea. The primary source has not been checked. This Ordovician genus is unlikely to be related to the Frondiporidae.
