Type species: Stereotoechus typicus Duncan, 1939
As the type species is now considered synonymous with Anomalotoechus typicus Duncan, 1939, the genus is a subjective synonym of Anomalotoechus. Consequently the Family Stereotoechidae is also not currently valid (Ernst, 2008).
