Hincksinoflustra denticulata (Busk, 1852)

Hincksinoflustra denticulata, a Recent species, occurs in shallow water off southern Australia.

Colony is weakly calcified, flexible, of erect bilaminar fronds about 3-5 mm wide. Illustration shows spines bordering the area, and endozooidal ovicells with prominent avicularia. A few avicularia are unrelated to ovicells (lower left, right).
