Eucrateidae Johnston, 1847

Diagnosis: Colonies erect, tufted, Autozooids long and slender, attenuate proximally, with a membranous frontal area; arranged singly or paired back-to-back, in branching series, the buds arising disto-laterally. No spines, avicularia, or ooecia. (Hayward & Ryland, 1998)
